I’m a 47 year old mother of two. I have planned to take up exercise about 20 times over the last 20 years. I can honestly say that each attempt lasted about two days. I just can’t stand doing exercise and find it very boring. But as I get older I can’t rely on youth to keep me in shape. Now I can’t run up the driveway without puffing. My cholestoral is more than it should be. My muscles need tone. My bones need to maintain density. My arms are looking flabby and my tummy could be mistaken for 6 months pregnancy. I’m not overweight but who knows what my insides are doing. I want to see, for the first time in my life, what being fit feels like. I need to make exercise a not negotiable part of my life. I have to make it as essential as eating. With the CSIRO wellbeing book by my side, I am going to commit to their 12 week fitness plan. I’ll start tomorrow. My blog will be my partner and motivator.
